They are the rockstars of the food world and on Saturday evening, June 14 at the Brisbane Hilton they will perform - while their audience will be limited to 500, the effect of their performance on this incredible night will help the very special children that Variety - the Children’s Charity serves so passionately.
The chef lineup for the Variety of Chefs Ball 2014 has been announced – and the names do not get much hotter. Starring in the kitchen and creating what is the now famous menu celebrated at this leading Brisbane event is:
- Matt Moran – ARIA Restaurants Brisbane and Sydney, Chiswick, North Bondi Fish, Riverbar Kitchen
- Adrian Richardson – owner chef at La Luna in Melbourne
- David Pugh – owner chef at Restaurant 2 in Brisbane
- Alastair McLeod - Alfreshco
- Matt Golinski
- Jeremy Clark – Executive Chef at the Brisbane Hilton
- Jiro Numata – Executive Chef at Wasabi, Noosa
- Ben Williamson – Executive Chef at Gerard’s Bistro, Brisbane
- Kym Machin – owner chef at Bare Bones Society, Brisbane
- Ben O’Donoghue – owner chef at Billy Kart Kitchen, Brisbane
While actual dishes are yet to be announced, it can be revealed that Canapés will be created by Jeremy Clark. There are two entrees for the evening; the first will be created by Jiro Numata and Ben Williamson, the second by Kym Machin and Ben O’Donoghue. Main Course will be delivered by Adrian Richardson and Matt Moran, and Dessert by Alastair McLeod and Matt Golinski with David Pugh.
The 2014 Variety of Chefs Ball will be held on June 14. Now in its fifth year, the stunning food and wine event showcases a roll call of culinary greats, with marquee names this year heeding the call from Melbourne, Noosa, Sydney and all over Brisbane. The 10 chefs will create an unmatched dining experience, each bringing their own specialty to the shared kitchen, allowing guests to taste an incredible range of flavours over the evening.
