Canine Myofunctional Therapy

         

Canine Myofunctional Therapy is massage therapy for dogs.  Massage is a gentle yet powerful therapy that can help improve a dog's health and wellbeing. 

Massage can assist:

  • Dogs with behavioural issues where muscular discomfort or pain may be a factor
  • Dogs with muscle damage due to behavioural issues eg: pulling on lead, pacing, boundary running, property damage
  • Active and hyperactive dogs
  • Dogs with injuries - recent or old
  • Dogs that have had an operation
  • Dogs with poor conformation
  • Overweight dogs
  • Elderly dogs with arthritis, and/or muscle wastage due to lack of movement

The benefits of massage often start to be seen immediately, but in most cases more than one treatment will be required.  The first consultation will take around one and a half hours and will include a comprehensive evaluation of your dog.  Thereafter, an hour should be allowed for each treatment.  There are discounts available for multi-dog homes and establishments.
